Garnier Miracle Skin Perfecter BB Cream Review

I have to say that I'm disappointed in the way this Garnier product worked out for me. I do however give Garnier applause for venturing out of its comfort zone and trying something different. Watch the video for a more in-depth details on the product!

Nasty Gal

Stress levels elevating basically always results in me going into modes of denial and avoidance through procrastinating. Now this will more often than not result in me discovering new websites to shop in YAY! (Wallet wallows and whimpers...)

Last night, at an ungodly hour, I found Nasty Gal. I literally think I slightly fell in love with the online store. I actually felt myself turn into a giddy high school girl, flustered at the sight of a cute older boy.

Let me express my love through a little wish list I composed in what was my study session.

This number is a closet classic. Can one have too many little black dresses....Maybe? No, never. o:)

I'm a little bit bitter that I find this as we're now entering summer. I'm trying very hard to stop myself from purchasing it and saving it for next year.

I love, love, LOVE this tee! I ironically love almost everything Chanel. My mother is psychic and knew I would adore all things Chanel or....she named me Chanel as a form of brainwashing to make me love the brand. Hmmm....

The detailed neckline is seriously to die for. Throw this on with a bright coloured pair of pumps and a matching clutch and you have a sexy outfit for a night out.

I have been on the search for a good pair of red skinny jeans to pair with a button down white blouse and a black blazer. These ones are fairly inexpensive but I don't know how I feel about buying jeans online. I'm 5'6, so it's not like I'm short but I have a very petite figure so it's a pain finding jeans normally even when I can try them on!

NOW....

My only grip with this site is that because it's US based, shipping to Australia is $15 to be delivered between 2-4 weeks!! That is unless I want to pay $39 and receive my package in 4-6 days.....This is definitely one of those times I wished I had a sister =/

I'll put a post up if I eventually make one big order to make myself feel justified in paying of the shipping.

Link me to anything you think is worth buying!!

a piece of Hamilton at a fraction of the price!

First video to be uploaded onto youtube-land and I can't even begin to tell you how nerve racking it is. It's kinda crazy watching myself through a screen, not to mention hearing my own voice *cringes* Either ways it's up and out there now...

Apologises for forgetting to show my phone, it wasn't in my bag at the time and it kinda just lapsed my mind.

The bag, as mentioned in the video, is from yesstyle.com. It comes in four colours which I had to constrain myself not to purchase more than just one.

The bag can be found in two sizes but oddly if you're looking for the smaller size it's sold by another company on the site, not Ajito. I gave preference to the larger version by Ajito which measures "32cm(W) x 30cm(H) x 10cm(D), Strap Length 16cm".

THE HAMILTON

ABOVE: Ajito Faux-Leather Tote

This bag reminds me so much of the Michael Kors'Hamilton Large Tote with a much smaller price tag. Place next to each other it's really hard for me to justify pursing the Hamilton which retails at $348, whilst Ajito offers it's tote at $105 (Currently on sale for $94.5)

ABOVE: MICHAEL Michael Kors Hamilton Large Tote

Not to say that the two are inseparable but realistically I love and want to buy the design, which inarguable is very similar. So if you're looking for a cheaper option and Ajito makes a colour you fancy, I would high suggest saving yourself a bit of money.

YESSTYLE.COM

I've always "window-shopped" on yesstyle.com but this would be the first time I've actually gone ahead and made a purchase. They do offer free shipping to Australia on all orders above $99. So depending on the total cost of your purchase, you may want to kindly and oh so selflessly introduce this site to a friend and buddy up on an order. Shipping for this order took a while to actually get dispatched which was a bit of a downer and admittedly I got fairly impatient.

WHAT I LOVE is the huge array of products offered on the website from fashion to make up to stationary whether you're a guy or a gal. More importantly a good selection of the make up offered to the site is lower than retail prices. Now if you live in Australia you would know that EVERYTHING is hiked up at least 100% price tag wise which makes being a shopaholic literally painful. So this site can be something of a god-sent to my bank account.

WHAT I DIDN'T LOVE SO MUCH would probably be the long wait on shipping and that the site can come to be a little overwhelming. The catalogue offered can just be a little hard to navigate.

I will say that the package for the bag came very nicely packaged which ensured my bag had a snug trip from Hong Kong to my doorstep.

The exciting news is that I just made a new order from the site on the weekend, this time for a selection of clothing that I'm very excited to blog about!

Hope this was helpful!

LUSH REVIEW: Brazened Honey Mask

Categorised as a "fresh mask" in Lush's "homemade cosmetics" range, Brazened Honey is a concoction of citrus, honey, essential oils, various ground roots and herbs and other natural skin nourishing products. The product claims to leave the skin "vibrant and reinvigorated” after a 5-10minute treatment. Remember to keep the mask in the fridge in between uses to ensure it stays fresh and a usable consistency.

It comes packaged in a small plastic screw top container (75g). I think if you return 6 of these containers you receive a free product. I'm not 100% sure on that, please feel free to correct me =).

Now on to my review =)

How I apply it:

It's a very thick pasty consistency so I suggest applying this after a warm shower on a cleansed face, whilst the skin is still moist. Just makes life a little easier. Also, it's best to apply a generous, even layer to the face and neck.  It adheres pretty firmly to the skin so if you're as busy as I am, you have the option of continuing on with your task without worrying it will fall off. WARNING however, once it dries, you do run the risk of it cracking slightly with facial movements so it may start to crumble depending on how thick you happened to apply it. (Though personally I find the crumbling is not an issue until nearing the end of the products life.) I usually leave the mask on for a good 15minutes before rising it off with warm water. I firmly exfoliate my skin with the mask as it softs with the water.

My experience with the product:

To me, brazened honey works much like a heavy-duty exfoliator. The ground almonds, ginger roots, and fennel act as course abrasives to remove sebum, dirty and dead skin cells, leaving the skin polished and smooth. However, a word of caution to those with sensitive or dry skin, this mask may prove to be too harsh on your skin, I would suggest opting for a much gentler mask or at least try this mask sparingly to test your skin’s reaction.

The gingery, citrusy fragrance left me feeling relaxed and somewhat “reinvigorated”, much like I’d been inside a spa where such scents are common.
How it helped my skin:

I personally have normal/oily skin, minimally oily in the T-zoneand normal around the cheeks. I don’t have a massive acne problem, whilst I do get the odd painfully apparently spot here and there, mostly around the forehead. I struggle more with redness and discolouration. So whilst this mask did leave my skin feeling clean and smoother in texture, it did little to minimize redness or discolouration.

That said, I do like the mask. It leaves my pores feelings cleans and overtime, perhaps just my imagination, somewhat smaller.

Now to really test the product for you guys, I used my boyfriend as a guinea pig <3. He has acne prone oily skin, subject to flackiness and dry pathches. What we found was after using the mask, his acne would surface almost the next day, but in a much more manageable size. I will note that the rest of his face however appeared less oily and was left cleaner and softer. A few days later he would use it again and this time the mask helped to dry up the acne that had surfaced. He marked this as a positive experience. Now a few weeks since he finished the mask, I’ve noticed that although he still gets pimples, they are smaller and much less painful, which is of course a positive.

All in all, I would repurchase and do suggest this product with the words of be gentle and don’t over use it.
SCORE: 4/5

Hope you enjoyed the review

ready...steady...GO!

So I finally found the nerve to jump on the band wagon and start this blog to make my contribution to the online blogging sensation. This is a little project I've wanted to start for a while now but a full blown schedule of work and uni has served as very good excuses to delay all of this. But it's time to bite the bullet so here goes nothing...
